刘佳楠
AKA 六加蓝 / SixPlusBlue / 6+blue
I am a Ph.D. student at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, pursuing my doctoral studies in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering. Prior to this, I completed my undergraduate degree in Art and Technology at the China Academy of Art, where I served as a research assistant in the Reality Design Lab and a teaching assistant for the course Speculative Spatial Computing Design.
As the Co-Founder and Chief Design Officer (CDO) of Unwall Technology Co., Ltd., I lead the development of our flagship product LDreader, a cross-language reading platform currently in beta testing. LDreader has already attracted over 20,000 users with 7,000 monthly active readers, supporting books in 20+ languages and enabling the translation of more than 2 billion characters. The project has successfully secured an angel round investment of USD 300,000 from China’s leading venture capital firm, Qiji Venture.
As an Designer, XR developer and Researcher in the field of accessibility, my academic papers have been published in top-tier conferences including SIGGRAPH Asia, CHI, CHI PLAY, CSCW, IEEE VR, and ASSETS. My work has earned multiple awards, including the Gold Award at the 2nd Rokid AR Application Development Competition, the Gold Award at the Rokid University AR Innovation Challenge, and the CADA Gold Award.
I was honored with the Lin Fengmian Graduation Creation Gold Prize, the highest recognition for graduation projects at the China Academy of Art, and was selected as the sole Outstanding Undergraduate Representative to deliver a speech at the opening ceremony of the Graduation Exhibition.
Throughout my undergraduate years, I developed a deep passion for digital entertainment and accessibility-driven design. Through both academic and hands-on experience, I have solidified my direction as a human-centered designer. Moving into my doctoral research, I aim to further integrate engineering systems with inclusive design methodologies, creating practical, empathetic, and innovative digital solutions that serve diverse user needs and contribute to a more inclusive technological future.
